I Hate Chickens

Hate 'em, absolutely hate there guts out. I hate them so much i slit 45 of there throats this morning.
Unfortunately it wasn't because I wanted to. Today was butcher day, after we had three inches of rain last night and this morning. In fact we had to loud up the chickens in the pouring rain. This was all after we lost our power and had to bring the cows off of pasture so they wouldn't go through the non working electric fence. Starting at eight we were at a friends house butchering chickens with his equipment which makes the unplesent job more bearable. We were finished by eleven and came home where the power was back on and have been spending the rest of the day working inside with Mom.
Why Brock loves chickens so much I will never understand, I also have never understood why I have to help butcher them.
Oh well I survived but I still would take the meanest cow in the world over a chicken any day.

Peeping Tom

Lately we learned that there is some creepy guy running around our neighborhood watching through windows and randomly walking in people houses late at night. After we learned about this Dad, being the paranoid guy that he is, locked all the doors and windows. Being from rural Iowa, we don't normally keep things locked. Good thing he did because at about 10:30 the dinner bell rang. This was odd because there was no wind and the chain was hooked on a nail. Dad, Brock, and I went out on the deck and kind of looked around but didn't see any thing.
The next morning I kind of forgot about it and went out to feed my calves, when I came back in everybody was freaking out all trying to tell me the same thing at once. I finally put together what they were saying and it turns out that they had found an area by the deck where someone had been walking around. It appeared they had tried to open a window, we knew this because our basement windows are very dirty and there were streaks in the dirt on the window and part of a fingerprint.
They had called Dad and he came home form work, looked around and the decided to call the sheriff. He then went back to work and I hauled poop.
The sheriff came out around noon to look around take pics and lift the finger print.
Needless to say we have been taking extra precautions at night.
I'll keep y'all posted on any new developments, nothing happened last night.

This Morning

So this morning I was peacefully asleep in bed at 6 when all of a sudden Brock starts yelling at me. This was rather unusual because Brock always sleeps in at least 15 minets after I get up. So I wake up to hear Brock yelling and Brian puking. Fun right! Brock grabbed a trash can and I grabbed paper towels got the mess cleaned up.
At this point there was no point in going back to bed so came downstairs and made coffee watched the news and started our day.
To bad my day didn't get much better I have been hauling manure the rest of the morning. Well i gotta go so thats it for this post. Gotta take the hay mower to riverside.

Here we go

I am starting a blog because it seems like everyone has one these days, including my sisters. Being the guy that I am I couldn't let them have one up on me so here we are. I'm just gonna write about the crazy life I have being the oldest of nine children. Well thats all for now.
